Vladimir V. Vasilchenko

Education Rostov State University, Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty, The Chair of Computational Mathematics, 1977-1982
MS Diploma:"The Application of Furier Method in Analysis of Prigogine's Model"

Employment

1995 - Present

Programmer in Rostov-on-Don heat-supply company "Rostovteploset".

1982 - 1995

Scientific Researcher in the Mechanics and Applied Mathematics Research Institute of the Rostov State University, Russia

Work Experience

1995-Present

Analysis of telemetric data, database applications, client-server applications, GIS. Real-time applications.

1998

Develop the first  “Online Tutorial for Windows 95 Applications programming with FORTRAN” on the server of Rostov State University.

1997

Developed some demonstration programs, which can be more informative for classic Fortran users than these ones from Microsoft's PowerStation Distributive Disk. Created educational programs on the base of PowerStation and IMSL library from Professional Edition of this compiler.

1996-1997

Took part as the programmer in the ecological projects (contracts) for FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization, United Nations). Designed and programmed all user-friendly interface of Windows95 applications in Fortran PowerStation 4.0. Worked under technology of Windows95 applications constructions in Fortran PowerStation. Took part in four contracts, which were made in telecommuting  regime, i.e. using Internet for presenting the results of work.

1995

Beta tester for Microsoft Corporation. Took part in Microsoft PowerStation Beta Program. Received at the end of the Beta Program the Final (commercial) release of the Fortran PowerStation 4.0 (Professional Edition) as the present from Corporation

1989-1992

First experiments with PC-based FORTRAN compilers and Microsoft MacroAssembler. Designed MASM programs for fast drawing of low-level graphical primitives in Microsoft FORTRAN 5.0 programs.
Designed MASM programs for direct and fast access to videomemory in alphabetical regime. 1991 - the first DOS application wizard for FORTRAN users was created.

1986-1995

Took part in ecological programs, devoted to mathematical modelling of water quality in Lake Baikal and Lake Sevan. Developed program packages for statistical analysis of field data and finite elements method packages for simulation of the biochemical processes in these lakes. Designed especial programs on the base of ATOM86 for graphical representation of the results of simulations.

1986-1987

Beta tester of the GKS-type graphical package "ATOM86" developed in Soviet nuclear research center in Protvino. Adaptation of this package onto new platform ( from VAX11/780 to VMS of IBM 360/370 ).

1984-1986

Developed the analytical methods for investigation of semilinear parabolic equations systems. Designed the program package realizing Lyapunov-Schmidt method on the base of computer algebra system REDUCE

1982-1984

Designed the programs for solving ordinary/partial differential equations systems. Consulted students on the numerical methods and programming in FORTRAN, PLI, ALGOL60, PASCAL under the MVT, VM/CMS operating systems
